I thought I would share some pictures of my potted plants. In the past, I have just put one type of plant in a pot to bring outdoor color. This year I was inspired by some pages from "Better Homes & Gardens" to create multi-layered potscapes. Here are some of my efforts.
Sweet Potato Vine, Crazy Curly Grass..(don't know the real name), Lantana, pot to right is Mexican Heather |
Tall Spike Grass with Pink Petunias |
What is the name of the plant at the top of the page (1st picture) that has purple-ish leaves?
ReplyDeleteHi Molley,
ReplyDeleteThe common name for this plant is "purple heart". The scientific name is Setcreasea pallida. I purchased my purple heart last year at Lowes. It is supper low maintenance (just keep it watered) and it is a really nice trailing plant for containers.
thanks for reading!
